Bio
I was born and raised in Foxboro, Massachusetts, attended undergrad in West Palm Beach, Florida , and then moved to Baltimore, Maryland to get my PhD in molecular medicine. Growing up, I was always interested in science and loved to read and learn. I am particularly interested in genome editing and the applications to human health, especially with the challenge of adapting these techniques to be used in the central nervous system. I aspire to be an independent researcher and educator, with my own lab and classroom. I am passionate about teaching, and eager to understand a little more about the brain!

Education
In 2017, I earned my bachelor's degree in molecular biology and biotechnology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, in West Palm Beach Florida. I am currently working on my PhD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, located in downtown Baltimore, in the Molecular Medicine program.
In July 2018, I joined the lab of Dr. Alexandros Poulopoulos for my PhD thesis work.

Fun Facts/Hobbies
I am an avid crafter, and particularly enjoy creating stained glass art. I am originally from Foxboro, Massachusetts (home of the Patriots!) and love to cheer on any Boston sports teams. I enjoy reading science-fiction and fantasy books, playing board games, video games and Dungeon and Dragons, and watching any kind of TV or movie.
